THE COMMON RULE
The incarnation informs the life of the church. God becoming man is an incredible affirmation of the material world and our life in the body. The body matters, so physical habits of living matter. God became a stranger amongst men so that His people might become friends of God. The church then, should become somewhat strange in culture, in order to be Christ's ambassadors to it.
